Donor Privacy Policy

Sacramento Botanical Garden utilizes third-party providers to process online transactions. Information provided through such platforms is only used for the purposes of processing said transactions. We will not disclose, sell, trade, rent, or otherwise reveal donors’ personal information to any entity.

Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), the Society will never knowingly request personal information from anyone under the age of 18 without requesting parental consent.

Electronic Newsletters

We offer free, electronic newsletters, updates and e-mail reminders as a service to our registrants, based upon your voluntary subscription. You will only receive an electronic newsletter if you have requested it (opted-in). We do not share our mailing lists with any third parties, including advertisers or partners.

Confidentiality Statement

Sacramento Botanical Garden is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our members and donors. We value the trust you place in us by giving to our institution and take very seriously our responsibility to safeguard the integrity of the information you provide us.

Our Use of Personal Information

From time to time, staff will request you provide personal information to us. This information includes, but is not limited to, your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. This information is considered private and is used for internal purposes only.

Some forms on sacbo.org may utilize “cookies.” A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you have visited. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself.
